For an International company based in Brussels (Zaventem), we are looking for a 2nd Line Support Engineer.
Your journey with us
We are looking to reinforce our team in Zaventem with a Senior IT Officer Service Desk. In this role:
- You provide first and second line service desk/technical support to internal customers, assisting them with hardware and software problems, either face to face, via phone, or through our online ticketing system;
- You maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries and adhere to all service management principles;
- You take ownership of user problems and are proactive when dealing with user issues;
- You log and maintain all calls on the call logging system;
- You respond to enquiries from clients and help them resolve hardware and / or software problems;
- You support users in the use of IT equipment by providing necessary training and advice;
- You allocate more complex calls to the relevant IT Support member or group;
- You arrange for external technical support where problems cannot be resolved in house;
- You show flexibility by being a team member that can handle diverse tasks during working hours between 8:00 – 18:30 (in shifts);
- You will mainly provide support at our Gateway (Zaventem) office but will also provide on-location support in our regional offices from time to time (Antwerp, Boitsfort, Charleroi, Gent, Hasselt, Kortrijk, Leuven, Liège, Oostkamp)
- Home-work is possible but limited;
Let’s talk about you
- You are able to easily express yourself in English and Dutch OR French
- You have 2+ years of relevant/previous IT Support experience;
- You have excellent communication skills and master the skill to remain professional and calm at all times;
- You get energized from providing F2F support;
- You have experience in using Service Management tooling, knowledge of ServiceNow is a plus;
- You have a strong knowledge of the latest Microsoft based operating systems, Mac knowledge is a plus;
- You have experience with using and troubleshooting Microsoft Outlook client within a network environment (permissions, calendar sharing, delegation) ;
- You have experience with using and troubleshooting Microsoft Office with emphasis on Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
- You have experience in configuring and supporting Mobile Device Management and iOS devices.
- You have Excellent problem-solving skills with a customer-oriented approach;
- You have a flexible attitude and the ability to perform under pressure;
- You are committed to quality and have a thorough approach to the work;
- You have the ability to work well within a team but also to work independently;
